Given to newborns so they had something to wear when leaving hospital Children's mittens T jumper in 7 sizes
Clown Hand Puppet 8 inch blanket squares (diagonal)
Perfect for a shoebox diagonal Blanket Square Make a loop.
Increase, by knitting into the front and back of the loop.
Increase one stitch at the beginning every row, until the edge is 8".
Decrease by knitting two together at the beginning of each row until 1 stitch remains.
Break off yarn and draw through the final loop.
Leave long tails for sewing up.

When you have enough for a large blanket, Sew squares together and crochet an edge.

Loving Hands Loving Hands Charity Knitting Group has over 1000 like minded individuals who knit, sew and crochet for various charities, they are always looking to recruit more.

Christian Hope International Their Stitches of Hope project requires hand-knitted goods for containers going to India and several countries in Africa.
Bonnie Babies Bonnie Babies makes and sends tiny premature clothing and sadly burial outfits to UK Special Baby Care Units, also to parents who need this support.
Charity Clowns Hope and Aid Direct loved the knitted clowns they were given launched the clowns website to encourage more knitters. Knitting clowns is a real challenge, but think of the smiles they'd bring.
Missions to Seafarers Missions to Seafarers Knitting patterns there are hats, balaclava, mittens etc.
Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a world-wide operation. Most UK shoe-boxes go to Eastern European countries where EU regulations unfortunately mean that they cannot include hand-made stuffed toys. i.e. teddies.   If you would like to knit something for a shoe-box there are plenty knitting patterns including glove-puppets on their website.

Feed The Children Feed the Children have been so successful with donations of knitting that they are not accepting any more at the moment.
